And that means it’s also time for the Friends-only preview sale, held the morning of the public sale, from 11 a.m. to noon.

National Friends of the Library Week
October 15 -21, 2023 is Friends of the Library week!
The Friends of New Gloucester Public Library will be hosting a party to thank all the Friends for all their (fun!) and hard work over the year. Friends work throughout the year on many projects--whether it's beautification projects for the library, fund-raising for book purchases, advocating for the library or supporting our two annual book sales--you'll find the Friends involved in it all. Community Fair: Friends Booth
Join us at the New Gloucester Community Fair on Saturday, August 19. Stop by our booth and say hello. We'll have free books, bookmarks, and stickers for the kids.
Brainstorming Social
Join us for our annual summer brainstorm - a time for Friends to gather together, eat great food, and come up with ideas for next year’s projects, activities, and other ways to support our library.
Food will be provided. As always, questions, comments, and suggestions are always welcomed.

Have books you'd like to donate? Please bring them to the New Gloucester Public Library during open hours. Containers will not be returned and library staff will not be available to assist in unloading donations.
The Friends are especially interested in children’s and young adult books, adult fiction, and non-fiction books. All materials should be clean and free of odors, mold, and mildew. As a reminder we are not accepting Reader's Digest Condensed books, encyclopedias, magazines, VHS tapes, DVDs, or CDs.
